Taita Falcon Lodge’s first-ever yoga retreat
There are many reasons why a yoga retreat (or any retreat) is a good idea. Especially if it happens to take place amidst magnificent waterfalls, divine birdlife and endless tranquillity along the Zambezi River.
Taita Falcon Lodge in Zambia – a mere 11 kilometres downriver from the Victoria Falls – is responding to the great demand for wellness travel. In fact, the lodge is launching its first-ever yoga retreat with mental wellness and wellness travel in mind. Due to take place from 24 – 29 July 2022, it promises to be a retreat worth repeating.
Who’s the yoga instructor?
Salt Rock-based Virginia Burger is a yoga teacher and Three Principles Life Coach (2021) CBT. She has a natural gift of mindfulness and compassion and through that, she helps others heal and find balance. She is also a qualified holistic massage therapist.
What will the retreat entail?
Instead of getting sucked into the midyear slump, why not reset with Yin and Hatha Yoga sessions along the Great Zambezi River? Burger will be heading to the wilderness with fellow retreaters. Together, they will explore her passion for yoga and mindfulness. In addition, you can also learn about the community with a cultural tour and the opportunity to give back through your visit.
Furthermore, the all-inclusive retreat will also offer you the opportunity to walk off your stress with a gorge hike. And, you can even take part in complimentary vision board and life coaching sessions – a perfect midyear mind reset.
What’s included?
Included in Taita Falcon Lodge’s yoga retreat package are five nights’ accommodation, three meals a day (with evening snacks) Wi-Fi and laundry. You can also indulge in daily coffee, tea and water and take part in two daily Hatha and Yin yoga sessions. And, the package includes one day’s cultural village tour and one day’s guided gorge hike.
Game lodge excursions, game drives, a trip to Vic Falls, helicopter flips, river rafting activities, flights and transport are excluded.
