HJ if you’re practicing abstaining from gluten don’t visit this eatery however if you love a good ol bowl a carbs as much as we do then we have somewhere special. It’s not only brand spanking new and uber stylish but the food is downright delicious and no, it isn’t pricey at all, well unless you order their gourmet pizzas starting at R145 (A classic pizza starts at R95 for a margherita). The vibe is cool and chic, its an upmarket restaurant but not the snooty type with white tablecloths.
We would go as far as to say it’s life changing eating a bowl of their pesto pasta (R90). You can just tell the chef gingerly let go of the uncooked penne pasta with grace into a boiling pot of water. It gets a ten out of ten from us, just the right amount of saltiness, grated parmesan, umame and yumminess, you can taste it’s a freshly made pesto and the pasta arrives perfectly al dente of course.
So, so delicious too is the caeser salad and a side of their crisp zucchini fritters and that’s just to start. The showstopper is the delightfully hot chocolate fondant. If chocolate is too decadent for you try the vanilla panna cotta, but if you have a major sweet tooth, you just cannot go wrong with this sinful chocolate melt-in-your-mouth puddle of heaven. It’s so delicious we recommend you skip lunch and visit for a full on three course dining experience.
They’re open seven days a week – Monday to Sunday, from 10h00 to 23h00.
