Our new favorite top 5 coffee spots in Joburg

Just because COVID-19 and our nationwide lockdown have been bitter, doesn’t mean your coffee has to. So we thought we would espresso how much coffee means to us, with our new fav top 5 coffee spots in Joburg!

Morning Glory Cafe

coffee and a sweet tooth

The coffee is strong and stiff; it’s a Bean There  Coffee Co blend and it’s fantastic! But let us focus on the showstopper, the toasted hot cross bun ice cream sandwich, dripping with vanilla ice cream and drenched in toffee. Or go simple and order their famous PB +J, done their way of course! Oh and this aesthetically pleasing spot is oh so Insta worthy!

Mastro Craighall

love at first sip

With a stand up coffee counter, marvellous range of prepared food, an entire deli, and outdoor seating, we can finally say “na, na” to Capetonians. We now have our very own gourmet deli in town! This is the perfect spot for a quick coffee fix. Short and sweet.

Pablo Sandton

but first lunch

Sip on your coconut cappuccino whilst overlooking Joburg’s elite. There is a pool, a view and delicious coffee. Pablo Melville closed down so this is now their only branch. So fortunately your Shakshuka cravings can still be met.

Motherland Blairgowrie

drink the love

It’s everything you expect from Motherland coffee- consistency, quality and favourable palatability. Only this new location is their very best one. It is sunshine filled and in the newest trendiest block in Blairgowrie. We like it a lot! WIFI is rather slow but they should be upgrading that soonest.

Toasted

say cheese

Their main game is toasted cheeses, and they do them exceptionally well, however let’s talk waking up and smelling the coffee. So this female owned eatery stocks Humble Coffee. Humble Coffee is female owned too and their motto is empowered women, empower women. You can order a coffee at the restaurant or get one to go or order a bag of their local coffee to take home with you. Whatever you decide, ensure you have it with a milk alternative. Oh and BTW they have excellent working WIFI!
