There is a clear excitement in the air – not only because of the fact that we get to make our mark and vote on 29 May 2024, but also because it’s a public holiday and if we get in the queue soon enough, we’ll be able to make the most of the day ahead of us.
Here are just some of the ways in which you can benefit from voting (apart from it being your duty as a citizen):
If you show your inked thumb at PLTFRM Wolwespruit on Election Day, you will receive a complimentary glass of wine or beer (300ml) to celebrate with your meal. In addition, there will be a Slurrp voting day program, including Playball at 10:00, as well as a Kleine Krummels workshop from 11:30 (R85) where you can decorate your cupcake and stand the chance to win a private home cake baking class for two and a Slurrp package.
Show your ink and get a free beer or cocktail at F.U.D. Restaurant (Fusion Urban Destination), located on the corner of Atterbury and Olympus Drive. It’s here where they say flavour meets fun and with a free cocktail in hand, it can’t be any different.
While they are closing at 18:00 (the kitchen closes at 17:00) on voting day, there will still be plenty of time to grab a bite at Whisk. If you show your voting mark, you will also get a free Millers Lime to enjoy with your meal.
Show your voters’ mark on Thursday or Friday and receive 10% discount on all LifeLab Med’s IV treatments. The offer is valid only for 30 and 31 May 2024. LifeLab Med is closed on Election Day.
Open from 12:00 on Election Day, you can get a glass of Saronsberg, Boschendal or Haute Cabriere bubbly on the house at Smoke if you show your inked thumb. This offer is valid between 12:00 and 14:00.
Wine Menu SA will be open until 14:00 on Election Day and if you go make your mark, they encourage you to swing by and show them your ink in order for the price to shrink.
Ciro’s Mediterranean Cucina will be open on Election Day and if you show them your inked thumb, you will receive a delicious sweet treat!
Mertia Restaurant has just won two awards at the Luxe Awards (firstly, Best New Restaurant and secondly, their Chef Matt taking away the award for Culinary Rising Star). They will be offering diners a little something to celebrate their votes (and perhaps their awards). Share your marked voter thumb on Election Day and get a complimentary glass of bubbles.
If you vote on Election Day and show the evidence on your thumb, Marais Family Wines will offer you a free glass of Breëland wine when you visit afterwards.
Rosey & Vittori will offer those who have voted 29% off selected items in celebration of voting day. The offer is valid until 31 May 2024 for both in-store and online purchases. No refunds, returns or exchanges for these items, though. But, shop your heart out at The Lobby or We Are Egg.
Show your inked thumb at Highgate and receive a complimentary glass of bubbles or Highgate Cabernet Sauvignon to pair with your lunch or brunch.
Prove you’ve voted and you’ll get free parking at The Pavilion on Election Day. The offer is valid on 29 May 2024 only and you can redeem your free parking ticket at the information desk.
Vote on Election Day and you can get a free original glazed Doughnut at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. Prove that you’ve voted by showing them your inked thumb and get this treat at any of their main stores and at Checkers Full Experience Stores only. The offer is valid on 29 May 2024 and it’s only available while stocks last. Ts and Cs apply.
Yes, even the jewellers are coming to the party on Election Day. Sterns is offering 10% off full-priced items and an additional 10% off items already on sale, in-store and online. The offer is only valid on Wednesday, 29 May 2024. All you have to do to qualify for the discount is to show your voter’s mark when in-store, and be a TFG Rewards member or TFG account holder.
Furthermore, you can also get 10% discount at Pringle of Scotland SA if you have voted in the national elections on 29 May 2024. The offer is valid for Election Day only and you’ll have to show your voters’ mark to receive the discount.
