A new adventure is about to begin as Winnie the Pooh is once again in search of honey! Meet Christopher Robin and his best friends from the Hundred Acre Wood in a beautifully crafted musical stage adaptation under the direction of Ivor Jones. Bring your ground cover, low chairs, blankets and picnic basket and enjoy children’s theatre at its best. No alcohol allowed. Suitable for children from the age of three and older.
Madagascar – A Musical Adventure JR

The ideal family entertainment is coming your way as Madagascar – A Musical Adventure JR will Move it! Move it! onto stage at People’s Theatre from 14 March to 23 April. Based on the smash DreamWorks animated film, Madagascar, the performance will follow all of your favourite crack-a-lackin’ friends as they escape from their home in New York’s Central Park Zoo.

Fire Island Conservation will be hosting a concert tour for turtles, featuring the internationally acclaimed Viennese Schönbrunn Palace Orchestra. During the tour, the orchestra will be visiting venues across Southern Africa in March and April, with various public and private events. Proceeds from the ticket sales will go toward Fire Island Conservation’s projects. Choose between a black-tie event on the 5th of April, including a three-course meal with wine pairing and ballroom dancing, or a picnic performance on Saturday, 8 April.

The Rand Show returns to Nasrec in April with all-day Easter entertainment for the whole family. There will be various unique exhibitors, adrenaline-packed outdoor activities, old-school carnival rides and games and more. The Rand Show is the longest-standing and largest consumer exhibition in South Africa and the iconic annual expo promises some great excitement once again this year.

It will be the ultimate day out – an exciting exploration of the country’s best-loved, undiscovered and newly crafter gin brands. No under 18s allowed.
The Head & The Load

After a resounding opening at the Tate Modern in London in 2018, followed by sold-out shows in New York, Amsterdam and Germany, the William Kentridge production, The Head & The Load, is being brought home to South Africa. It will be seen for the very first time on the African continent at the Joburg Theatre from 21 April to 6 May 2023, for fourteen performances only.
