Light House – Cape Town’s very first holistic clubhouse dedicated to holistic well-being – has just launched in the Mother City’s CBD. Perched atop 50 on Bree, the space’s doors were officially opened on 7 December 2023.
In essence, Light House is positioned as a holistic clubhouse. It serves as a micro-retreat nestled between the demands of home and work, providing a space for rejuvenation and realignment. The purposefully designed venue features an array of collaborative and ever-evolving holistic health offerings, as well as events and corporate well-being programs. Themes range from breathwork to yoga for cyclists, catering to the diverse needs of the Cape Town community.
Co-founders, Robyn Schaffner and Jay Margolis, say that the concept has been in development for almost three years. “We set out to create a conscious space that warmly welcomes locals and visitors in Cape Town, regardless of where they find themselves on their personal journeys,” says Schaffner. “We want to bring the transformational practices that are readily available outside of the city centre and around the world to mainstream culture. Some call it biohacking; others a deeper connection to self. We call it being 100% human. Light House will be a place to learn, explore and unwind with experienced facilitators available to guide you as your needs evolve and grow.”
Regarded as a sanctuary for meditation, yoga, creativity, mindfulness and overall well-being, Light House offers the ideal environment for self-reflection and communal connection.
The 475m² space encompasses a light-filled studio, a rooftop garden with panoramic views of Signal Hill, a serene lounge terrace and a refreshing saltwater lap pool. And, mindful of inclusivity, Light House also provides wheelchair accessibility and invite conversation around continuous improvement.
Ultimately, the venue is committed to meeting visitors’ holistic needs. It’s also available for private functions and exclusive experiences, which makes it an exceptional choice for hosting special events.
