South Africa will make sporting history this winter as the Premier Padel Pretoria P1 brings the Qatar Airways Premier Padel Tour to the country for the very first time.
Taking place from 26 July to 2 August 2026, the prestigious P1 tournament will see the world’s top men’s and women’s padel players compete in Pretoria.
As one of the fastest-growing sports globally, padel continues to gain momentum in South Africa, with more than 410,000 amateur players and over 1,400 courts nationwide. The arrival of the Premier Padel Tour marks a major milestone for the sport’s growth and places Pretoria on the international padel calendar.
Presented through a partnership between Premier Padel and Primedia Sport, with support from the South African Padel Association (SAPA), the tournament promises a week of world-class competition featuring the sport’s biggest stars.
