After the lodge’s resident veterinarians darted a rhino and an elephant from a helicopter, we participated in their process of taking measurements, collecting blood samples and installing new tracking devices on these majestic animals. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that underscored Mabula’s dedication to conservation.

Furthermore, guests can embark on twice-daily game drives led by expert guides who delve into the heart of the reserve. There roams the Big Five and grows the diverse flora and fauna of the area. Between safaris, indulgent meals are served. Included is high tea with freshly baked treats or dinners that capture the essence of African cuisine.
