Mi Casa open a 19-concert season of picnics and live music beneath Table Mountain on 22 November
A picnic blanket, friends on the lawn and live music beneath Table Mountain: the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts return on 22 November 2026, with Mi Casa opening the 2026/27 season.
Now in its 34th year, the series runs until 28 March 2027. Its 19-concert programme brings South African voices and bands together with international guests and three Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra performances.
Lira, Mandisi Dyantyis, Simphiwe Dana and Mango Groove are among the artists on the bill. Freshlyground shares a November date with Booshle G, while Matthew Mole and Congo Cowboys take the New Year’s Eve slot.
January brings Lloyiso and the pairing of Just Jinjer with GoodLuck. Will Linley plays on Valentine’s Day, with The Parlotones later in February. Goldfish and Jeremy Loops return in March before Neon Dreams and Chef’Special close the season.
"The concerts give people a chance to gather on the lawn, share a picnic, and experience music in Kirstenbosch’s beauty"
Sarah Struys, Events and Tourism Manager at Kirstenbosch
