Celebrate the arrival of spring with Bloom in Concert, the spectacular opening event of Stanford in Bloom 2026, taking place on Saturday, 12 September at the historic Stanford NG Kerk.
The concert features the Cape Town Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, conducted by Liam Burden, with award-winning guest soprano Lynelle Kenned. Audiences can look forward to a vibrant programme of orchestral favourites from Carmen, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and Colours of the Wind, alongside beloved South African classics.
More than a concert, Bloom in Concert celebrates music, community and youth development, with members of the orchestra also taking part in a workshop with local young performers before the performance.
