The KZN Philharmonic Orchestra launches its 2026 Early Spring Symphony Season with an inspiring evening of classical music on Thursday, 20 August, conducted by acclaimed maestro Barbara Dragan and featuring celebrated pianist Zlata Chochieva as soloist.

The programme pairs two powerful works from the Romantic era: Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 2 in B-flat Major, Op. 83, followed by Dvořák’s uplifting Symphony No. 8 in G Major, Op. 88.

With virtuosic piano playing, sweeping orchestral passages and Dvořák’s richly melodic symphony, Concert 1 promises a captivating evening for classical music lovers.
