Food and Drinks at Time Out Market Cape Town

There’s no better way to savour summer in the Mother City than with good food, great company, and a view of Table Mountain. This season, Time Out Market Cape Town at the V&A Waterfront is turning up the flavour with the launch of its brand-new summer menu — a curated collection of dishes from some of the city’s top chefs and restaurateurs.

Russ Meyer, General Manager of Time Out Market Cape Town, said: “Our chefs have outdone themselves heading into the 2025/2026 season, creating dishes that capture the essence of summer while showcasing the best our city has to offer. From salads to sushi and flavourful curries, we’re confident our new menu additions are where the vibes are at.”

A Taste of Summer

The summer lineup reads like a world tour of flavours — local favourites meet global inspiration.

  • Barakat brings Cape comfort with slow-braised carrot and pea bredie (with or without lamb), Cape Malay chicken curry, and fish frikkadel.
  • Una Más Taqueria serves up street-style eats like roasted artichokes and brussels sprouts, smoky street corn potato salad, and soft-shell tacos filled with smoked portobello mushrooms or southern fried chicken.
  • Sushiya and Ramenhead keep things fresh with zesty summer rolls, tiger prawn hand rolls, and chilled ramen dishes that reimagine Japanese classics.
  • For hearty appetites, De Vrije’s Die Moerse Morsige Burger and Carne’s free-range grilled chicken and penne alfredo are crowd-pleasers.
  • Kapoochka spices things up with tandoori king prawns, masala chai crème brûlée, and biryani in chicken, lamb, or veggie variations.
  • Early risers will love NØSH’s breakfast banh mi and Sabich sandwiches, while Unframed Ice Cream brings dessert bliss with brownie cups and pistachio white chocolate cookies.

More Than a Meal

Beyond the food, the Market’s buzzing atmosphere — complete with live music, local art, and special events — makes it a must-visit this summer. The seasonal menu runs from October 2025 to March 2026, giving foodies plenty of time to sample every flavour.

“The curated selection of food, drinks, and entertainment throughout the summer season is set to wow those travelling to the city and elevate the summer for locals alike.”
