Gamers of all skill levels are invited to take on the competition when the MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience arrives at Clearwater Mall from 31 July to 2 August.
From aspiring esports players to casual gamers and spectators, the action-packed event transforms Centre Court into a competitive gaming arena packed with tournaments, prizes and interactive experiences.
As South Africa’s only nationwide mall-based gaming series, MTN SHIFT gives players a pathway into one of the country’s biggest gaming tournaments while making competitive gaming accessible to everyone. Visitors can watch live matches, test their skills and experience the excitement of esports in a fun, family-friendly environment.
The road to the finals begins with the EA FC 26™ Online Qualifier on 25 July, where the top four players will secure automatic places in the Clearwater Mall Final. Additional qualifying opportunities will be available through the in-centre heats during the event.
The Clearwater Mall champion will walk away with a R2,500 Clearwater gift card and a coveted place in the MTN SHIFT National Football Final, where competitors will battle for a share of R50,000. Second and third-place finishers will receive Clearwater gift cards valued at R1,500 and R1,000 respectively.
Beyond EA FC 26™, visitors can enjoy a packed gaming line-up featuring Beat Saber, Brawlhalla, Tekken, Street Fighter 6, the exciting Keyboard Rebuild Race, a dedicated PC Gaming Zone and free-play gaming stations. Across the full MTN SHIFT series, competitors will battle for a massive R350,000 prize pool.
