Gert-Johan Coetzee presents his Spring/Summer 2027 collection in a theatrical fashion production in collaboration with The Cirk. Behind The Crimson Door blends couture, aerial performance, dance, and storytelling to explore courage, ambition, and the transformative power of pursuing dreams.
The show follows Charlotte, a young farm girl navigating the overwhelming allure of the Big City, as she discovers that fear exists only in imagination and courage unlocks opportunity. Doors on stage symbolize choices and possibilities, while Coetzee’s couture evolves from simple beginnings to bold, dramatic expressions designed for aerial choreography and live performance.
Featuring eight aerialists and singer Danica Bezuidenhout, the production combines visual spectacle, storytelling, and fashion in a unique theatrical experience.
